Currently, no LizardNet Minecraft servers are public.

Although semi-private servers require authorization to join, they are much more open than standard private servers. In general, if you request access to a semi-private server, you will get it, and in all cases servers are open to access requests from the general public. Public servers aside, if you want to play on LizardNet Minecraft servers and haven't been invited to a fully-private server, this list is probably the place to start!

Private servers are Minecraft servers that are restricted access; you may only connect to or play on the servers if you have been previously and explicitly authorized to do so. There are varying "degrees" of privacy; a server may use whitelisting so that to even connect to it you need to be authorized, or require ranking-up to build anything. Refer to each servers' information page for details and for instructions on gaining access. Note that private servers are by definition highly restricted; unless you've been invited to a private server, you may wish to instead try joining one of the public or semi-private servers listed above.

The red group is a prefix of either "s", "c", or "a" for survival, creative, and adventure respectively. The blue group is a number that is incremented for each server in each prefix group to make the identifier unique with indexing starting at 1 (e.g., s1, s2, s3, c1, c1, c3, a1, a2, a3, etc.). If the server is a PvP server, a "p" (the green group) is appended to the end of the identifier, and if the server is hardcore, a "x" (the orange group) is appended to the end of the CID.
+
+
Note that neither the "p" nor "x" suffixes are for uniqueness purposes, they are only for information. That is, there cannot be a server "s3" and "s3px" - "s3" would be the same as "s3px", just missing the informational suffixes.

This page is a list of Minecraft servers that are hosted off of LizardNet. Unless otherwise noted, the servers are run by me (FastLizard4).

Please remember to visit the various servers' information pages (linked to in the tables below) and to follow all rules. Failure to comply with rules may result in a ban.

Public servers

Public servers are LizardNet Minecraft servers that any member of the public may request access to. Although these servers are only open to people who have been whitelisted, anyone can request access to a public server by, for example, asking nicely on our Google+ or Facebook pages, or hopping on IRC.

To provide the best experience possible, the public Minecraft servers above have their own dedicated VPS. However, this costs money, of course, so we would greatly appreciate if you would consider donating a small amount. For an overview of what we need and how to donate, please see here. Anything helps!

Donors!

Here's a list of people who have generously donated to the cause. Thank you for your help. To the moon!

Private servers

Private servers are Minecraft servers that are restricted access; you may only connect to or play on the servers if you have been previously and explicitly authorized to do so. Unlike the semi-private servers, applications/requests to join these servers are not accepted; in other words, they are either by invitation only or are only open to a specific set of people. Refer to the server information pages to see who is allowed to play on these private servers.

Additional resources

The links below are for additional Minecraft-related resources here on LizardWiki that may be of use to you.

CID scheme

A brief explanation of how I assign CID numbers to the Minecraft servers, as a regular expression:

 [sca][0-9]+p?x?

The red group is a prefix of either "s", "c", or "a" for survival, creative, and adventure respectively. The blue group is a number that is incremented for each server in each prefix group to make the identifier unique with indexing starting at 1 (e.g., s1, s2, s3, c1, c1, c3, a1, a2, a3, etc.). If the server is a PvP server, a "p" (the green group) is appended to the end of the identifier, and if the server is hardcore, a "x" (the orange group) is appended to the end of the CID.

Note that neither the "p" nor "x" suffixes are for uniqueness purposes, they are only for information. That is, there cannot be a server "s3" and "s3px" - "s3" would be the same as "s3px", just missing the informational suffixes.

Notes

 1. 1.0 1.1 CID stands for Canonical Identifier, which is the internal name of the server. CIDs starting with "s" identify survival servers, CIDs starting with "c" identify creative servers, and CIDs starting with "a" identify adventure servers.
 2. 2.0 2.1 If you are trying to connect to a server operating on any port other than the default, you need to specify the port after the address with a colon. For example, to connect to the Minecraft server on host ridley.fastlizard4.org and port 25566, you'd enter ridley.fastlizard4.org:25566 into Minecraft.
 3. 3.0 3.1 In a PvP, or Player versus Player, server players may attack and kill each other. In a PvE, or Player versus Environment, server players may not attack each other.
 4. 4.0 4.1 Number of people allowed to be on the server at one time. Can be increased if necessary, but this change - like any other configuration change - requires restarting the Minecraft server.
 5. 5.0 5.1 Not actually a Google Map, but a map of the Minecraft map that is web accessible using the Google Maps API. Maps hosted on LizardNet are usually updated every six hours on multiples of six (i.e., 00:00, 06:00, 12:00, and 18:00) UTC.
