(LW-1) "Special Page 'Permissions' has rendering problems

While viewing this page, various permission boxes in the table have & lt;val_no& gt; or val_yes, depending the permission as normal. In proper HTML, it'd be <val_no> or <val_yes>, which is still unfunctional. This could possibly be due to Tidy markup cleanup which attempts to clean html syntax (it does make errors).

WONTFIX - This is an extension which is in beta, I will wait for the developers to make a patch, and, I don't know where the problem lies in the code. --The Dear Leader, FastLizard4 (TalkContribs) 17:27, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

(LW-2) "Frequent connection interrupts on server"

Quite frequently, connection interrupts are occuring on the server. This happened after a 15-second timeout while trying to edit. Received the error "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again." This is likely to be a server issue on behalf of 10gbfreehost.com, or a flaw in the software/webserver/configuration.

CANTFIX - This is a server problem, and being a shared host, not under my control. --The Dear Leader, FastLizard4 (TalkContribs) 17:27, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Proxy blocking

May or may not be wise to enable proxy blocking. Proxies are generally used by vandals to hide their real ip address and evade blocks. Blocking an open proxy could be handled by MediaWiki by blocking them upon loading of the edit form. Only "$wgBlockOpenProxies = true;" would be needed to enable this. WONTFIX - Most definitely not wise. The MediaWiki documentation page for this function reads: "You are strongly advised not to enable this. Many sysops will report "hostile TCP port scans" to your ISP and ask for your server to be shut down... you have been warned!" Enough said. --The Dear Leader, FastLizard4 (TalkContribs) 17:48, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
