• The font used in my forum signature is the Ubuntu Font Family, a freely licensed and available font. You can download it from here.
• The background image in my forum signature is pretty much the most popular picture I've ever uploaded to Flickr: my high power green laser on a dark background. The laser itself is a 450 milliwatt class 3B infrared diode-pumped solid state frequency-doubling (DPSS for short) laser emitting green light with a vacuum wavelength of 532 nanometers. By my calculations, this equates to approximately 1.21x10¹⁸ (1,210,000,000,000,000,000) photons emitted per second.
  • The image is, as of this writing, available under the CreativeCommons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 2.0 license. Check the image description page for more and/or updated licensing info, a description of the picture itself, and an important warning regarding high power lasers.
• The laser pictured in my sig is not my most powerful laser. My most powerful laser is a 1200mW 445nm blue diode laser.
