This page lists the available user rights on the wiki, and some other information about each.

Note: "User right includes" means that the rights of these levels are included in that right, and do not need to be set when assigning that right. "User right should be set with" is a list of rights that must be set with another user right for it to work. "User can grant" is the list of rights that a user with that right can grant, same for "User can remove." For seeing what you can do, add up all user rights you would receive, for example, if you are being promoted to desysop, you also get bureaucrat, sysop, passwordreset, and rollbacker.

Anonymous

A user that is not logged in.

Bot

An account with a bot flag (set by a bureaucrat) which is meant to make automated edits. An edit by a bot account is not shown in recent changes.

Rollbacker

A user with rollback rights, see this page on Wikipedia for more.

Account Creator

Somewhat depreciated due to the Confirm Account extension, allows override of AntiSpoof.

Administrator

Administrators (or Sysops) can protect pages, protect pages from creation, delete pages, block users, among other things (see administrator tools in the sidebar). They can also view (not edit) another users preferences (only people with edituser preferences can edit other users' preferences). Admins can also access a limited version of Special:RevisionDelete to make the task of deleting certain revisions of a page easier.

Passwordreset

Passwordreset users can access Special:PasswordReset and change a user's password or disable a user account (note: NOT to be used as a substitute for blocking).

WARNING: Be very careful when giving out this user right, as accounts literally can be taken over using this function

Bureaucrat

Bureaucrats, in addition to what sysops can do, can grant certain use rights beyond rollback, in addition, they can manually confirm your email address and rename users.

Desysop

These bureaucrats with desysop rights can, in addition to what normal bureaucrats can do, desysop and de-bureaucrat other users.

Checkuser

Checkusers can use Special:CheckUser to correlate IP addresses and user accounts; this is used to detect sockpuppetry.

Oversighters

Oversighters can use more options than sysops in Special:RevisionDelete, Special:Oversight, Special:HideRevision, and a hide revision tab when viewing a diff to hide an edit from everyone except other oversighters, including administrators. This is usually done to protect dangerous personal information and for legal reasons.

Steward

Stewards can, in addition to what desysop users can, make people checkusers and oversighters.

Addsteward

Addsteward users can create other stewards.

Delsteward

Delsteward users can remove the steward right from other users.

Edituser

Users with the edituser right can use Special:EditUser and change another user's preferences, unless that user has the sysop flag.

Developer

Developers can lock and unlock the database (see developer tools in the sidebar).

SVN

SVN allows that user to edit all projects in CodeReview.

Admiral

Admirals can set almost all user rights.

Founder

FastLizard4, being wiki founder, is the only person with founder rights. FastLizard4 can set any user access right.

Sudoer is a very special right: It allows you to take over other accounts using Special:Sudo. Very dangerous!
